Nous avons signé un « cadre d’accord » pour la réhabilitation de l’usine d’eau existante de Lukunga de 50 000 m3/jour et la construction d’une capacité supplémentaire de 50 000 m3/jour sur le même site de l’usine.
Le nouveau projet comprendra une nouvelle prise d’eau sur le fleuve Congo pour fournir une capacité de plus de 110 000 m3/jour, quatre nouveaux réservoirs et plus de 150 km de réseau de distribution. Le projet améliorera considérablement le taux d’approvisionnement en eau à Kinshasa.
Cet accord est innovant en ce sens que les deux parties formeront un Special Purpose Vehicle pour permettre l’exécution du projet hors du bilan de Regideso.
Le SPV va jusqu’au compteur d’eau du consommateur sous la forme d’un Design Build Finance Operate and maintain. Cela nous permet de mettre en place des compteurs d’eau intelligents plus rapidement et de poursuivre notre parcours vers un IoT complet grâce à nos opérations. Des opérations plus efficaces et un transfert de technologie font partie de l’accord.
Maintenant, le travail acharné commence pour faire la conception et terminer la modélisation financière DBFOM avant d’exécuter un contrat d’exécution.

Regideso SA and CCCC of China sign an accord for the rehabilitation and extension of the Lukunga Water Treatment Plant in Kinshasa.
We have signed an « accord cadre » for the rehabilitation of the existing 50 000 m3/day Lukunga Water Plant and the construction of an additional 50 000 m3/ day capacity on the same plant site. The new projet will include a new water intake on the Congo River to provide more than 110 000 m3/day capacity, four new reservoirs and over 150 km of distribution network. The projet will significantly improve water supply rate in Kinshasa.
This agreement is innovative in the sense that the two parties will form a Special Purpose Vehicle to enable the project to be executed off the balance sheet of Regideso.
The SPV goes all the way to the consumer’s water meter in the form of a Design Build Finance Operate and maintain. This enables us to bring about smart water meters faster and continue our journey for complete IoT through our operations. More efficient operations and technology transfer are part of the agreement.
Now the hard work begins to do the design and complete the DBFOM financial modeling prior to executing an execution contrat.
